Boutique Recruiting is Hiring a Full Charge Bookkeeper Near Chesterfield, VA
A construction and plumbing company in North Chesterfield, VA is searching for a highly skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their administrative team! This is the perfect job for reliable candidates with excellent time management skills who thrive working independently as the sole person in the department, in a laid-back, family-oriented atmosphere. They are looking for someone with at least 8 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, including full charge bookkeeping and full-cycle accounting to handle everything accounting related besides payroll.
Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Handle full-charge bookkeeping responsibilities, excluding payroll
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable
- Conduct bank deposits and manage cost allocations
- Manage a low volume of accounts receivable, focusing on cleaning up outstanding AR
- Handle 10-15 accounts payable invoices per week
- Prepare financial reporting and overhead allocations
- Set up business licenses and chart of accounts
- Develop strategies for keeping overhead down and managing cash flow reports
- Collaborate with an outside CPA for closing the books
- Oversee and manage the entire accounting process as the sole person in the department
- Minimum 8-10 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and full-charge bookkeeping
- At least 10 years of experience with QuickBooks Desktop
- Construction or HVAC industry experience is preferred, but not required
- Suitable for someone from a non-corporate background who can adapt to multiple roles and tasks
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is preferred, especially with an HVAC or trades background
- Ability to contribute to company growth and process improvement
